Professional Accomplishments
Dr. Ward majored in biology at Wake Forest University. While in Winston-Salem, she worked in a small animal general practice for three years as a kennel assistant, receptionist, and ultimately veterinary technician. After graduating Veterinary School she returned to that same practice as a DVM before moving out of state for her family. Three years later she happily made the switch to Emergency Medicine while living in Oregon. Last year an opportunity became available to move back to North Carolina and she could not be happier to be back on the East Coast!
In her spare time, Dr. Ward enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, being outside, and just enjoying her farm. She has two dogs, two cats, and two pot-bellied pigs. A Miniature Donkey and Miniature Hereford Cow are on the way soon!
