Professional Accomplishments

Dr. Burr graduated with Honors from the University of Illinois. During her clinical year, she was given several awards, including Nike’s Gift, which is awarded to a student with an interest and proficiency in oncology. Dr. Burr completed a small animal rotating internship at Kansas State University, After which, she had the opportunity to engage in cancer-based research for 1 year. Dr. Burr subsequently completed her oncology residency at Kansas State University in 2013. She believes in providing compassionate care to all of her patients and nurturing the human-animal bond. Outside of work, Dr. Burr enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and pets.
